PMC’s Laws
3 other strategies: creating more efficiently through the law of attention!
My struggles With the law of attention.
Do you recognize this? What do you actually need to pay attention to in order to stay attentive? How can you learn to look at yourself? “Thunderously well I know how it works, yet I am easily distracted from the very strategy and laws that have consistently brought me so much success….”
I’m going to explain it to you and immediately give you 3 handy strategies to get started. Also, I address another submitted (reader) question. Whether it’s a phone question from a client or someone in my network or something of my own. Each week I address a question that comes up regularly in practice.
Experience
In the distant past, I lived in a world of pain, lack, disbelief, illness and doubt (grumbling nice and safe, in my comfort zone with “my little self”); until I realized and discovered (partly through the strategies below) what powerful attention, words, behaviors and thoughts are. Thoughts as well as words are extremely powerful and both are actions. What had I done to myself in the past?
What happened when I started focusing my attention on the opposite so on “my successful & happy self” (by the way, this is something every leader, human being or director should apply, even if as an experiment together with your staff) was amazing.
I spontaneously received situations and people in my path that helped me move forward. I was so grateful for that that my life was magically enriched even more. Success sought me out through my attitude and attention.
Napoleon Hill has given me many quarters. I quote from Napoleon Hill’s book.
“If you keep focusing on the obstacles your goal will disappear. If you keep focusing on your goal the obstacles will disappear”.
You can best understand the above by focusing your attention on a particular goal or desired reality (through thoughts) with confidence, good feeling and determination so that it can appear in your life. This connects you to the world of possibilities.
3 strategies to get you started:
- Focusing on the opposite helps. So suppose you are in the middle of a bad relationship with your business partner. NB conflict leaves money lying around at all times, both business and personal, so it’s not helpful anyway . Then imagine what it would be like if you have a good relationship with your business partner. Picture it. By these thoughts attention , you create them in your own reality. Meanwhile, what is going on in the field: the thought that you consistently give attention to and grant you the matching behavior and feeling, begins to generate mass and is transformed into events or things. Your (business) relationship will improve. Read my previous blogs if you want depth on these principles PMC blogs.
- At the same time, think about what you are grateful for in this relationship (or situation). Here you can think about his/her fine qualities or his/her patience, sense of humor. What you are grateful for will improve and multiply.
- Take regular pause: connect with the universe through meditation and become completely still and peaceful within, observe yourself and your thoughts, everything can be there. This causes you to bivocate nicely in your deeper being. What will happen? Every step toward self-awareness is wealth.
Challenge (reader) question:
I was raised with the idea that I have to work hard and that life is hard. Furthermore, most of the people around me are like that. At the moment, I am in a kind of Murphy’s Law. What could possibly go wrong does go wrong … and this just continues. What to do. On a deeper level, I know it is a fabrication and have read a lot on the matter, but it seems like it is now counterproductive to what I want to achieve. I can’t manage to extricate myself from this. What’s going on?
Solution:
Applying the law of attention. First, I want to advise that there is no Murphy’s Law in nature. No natural law indicates that everything that goes wrong will go wrong, so I would work on this belief anyway. Second, start working on your conditioning that keeps you trapped in your little IC. It’s actually a pattern or bad habit that you (unconsciously) stick to (heavy living etc).
For example, you can start by making a list: what are your limiting thoughts and words. Find out where these come from, accept them and if necessary say “these beliefs are not mine so I give myself permission to let them go.” Then cross them off your list. This works (symbolically) on the mind. Next, write down what the opposite positive thoughts and words are. Repeat them to yourself every day or say them out loud.
Focus on your goals with confidence and relaxation: break through the bars. We are so conditioned as humans that we can become absorbed in self-pity so that living in happiness and ease may even seem unnatural or not possible at all. While this very thing should be normal for every human being and is our birthright.
In short: engage your new insights and shift your
attention
to your goals and use the positive list. Be grateful and alert with what is going well. In this way, you will create a new reality.
